Zidane can count on Raphael Varane for the Madrid derby

Real Madrid will not give Barcelona a guard of honour if the Catalans have clinched the Spanish title before next month's Clasico, Zinedine Zidane said on Saturday.

While it seems that Barcelona have La Liga all but sewn up, there is a chance the two sides will meet another two times, should they be drawn together in the Champions League semi-finals.

Despite their vast improvement in 2018, Real Madrid will be looking to overhaul their squad with major summer signings having several Premier League talents on the radar.

"I understand that he is not in a good mood, that's normal", Zidane told a news conference ahead of Real's La Liga game against city rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday. "Gareth Bale will stay with us for the forthcoming season, he will stay, I understand his feeling well because he did not play the previous games, but for me, everyone is important and hard to choose".

Wales global Bale remained on the bench for the 90 minutes of Tuesday's 3-0 Champions League quarterfinal first-leg win at Juventus, with wingers Lucas Vazquez and Marco Asensio sent on instead.

"But I can not say for sure what will happen, with my own future or the players', as always".

Apart from Salah, Real Madrid have several players on the agenda with Harry Kane, Eden Hazard and David De Gea being the other targets that the Los Blancos are after.

"That is normal as players want to play all the games", he said. Let us know in the comments section below. He is an important player. "They are second, and what we can do is cut that gap". Regardless of how the rest of the season goes, Gareth is a Madrid player and my feeling is he will stay here.
