In the new images leaked by TechRadar, one of the boot logo of the LG G7 clearly shows the ThinQ branding on the screen. And like that V series smartphone, the LG G7 ThinQ is going to put an emphasis on AI. Rather than continue its attempts to break through with iterative updates each year, LG had supposedly chose to bail on the brand and focus on a new smartphone series. And although the images don't reveal what's lurking under the hood, they shed light on what we can expect from the smartphone.

The company has confirmed that it will be launching the flagship in Seoul on May 3. The LG G7 ThinQ is what the next flagship will be called as per some recent reports and the phone has been long-rumoured to sport a notch on top of the display.

Update (04/03/18): We've updated this article with details on the LG G7 ThinQ name, rumors surrounding the dedicated AI button and f/1.5 aperture camera, and LG's attempt to gauge users' opinions on the notch. The availability of these color variants will vary depending on region and carrier. Wireless charging will also be a part of the package, while Android 8.1 Oreo will probably come pre-installed on the phone, along with LG's custom skin. The device will also include improved artificial intelligence (AI) features. The right side of the G7 ThinQ houses a single lock button, whereas on the left there is a volume rocker button and another button, which could be the dedicated key for activating the virtual assistant. The company says that the LG G7 ThinQ upgrades the performance and convenience of 'sympathetic AI, ' as well as enhances interoperability with other devices. Based on those, the smartphone could arrive in five color choices of Aurora Black, Platinum Grey, Moroccan Blue, Moroccan Blue Matte and Raspberry Rose.
