The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed their third baby together on Monday, but despite them introducing the tot to the world just a couple of hours later, the little Prince still has no name.

Alexander said: "Have you thought of the name Alexander for him?" to which William replied: "Well it's amusing you should say that".

This is the third child for The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge, after 4-year-old Prince George and 2-year-old Princess Charlotte.

Kensington Palace announced that the baby boy had been born at 11.01 on the morning of April 23, 2018.

Britain's Prince William and Kate Middleton smile as they hold their newborn baby son as they leave the Lindo wing at St Mary's Hospital.

Unlike with first-born baby George in 2013, Prince William secured the capsule in the couple's Range Rover with the confidence of a dad who has done it many times before, smiling at photographers. Keeping the sex of the baby a surprise until the delivery day, the Palace revealed that Kate had given birth to a healthy baby boy, with both mom and baby doing well.

The Duchess has taken time off after giving birth to her previous two children.

He's fifth in line to the throne and, like his uncle Prince Harry (now sixth in line), he'll amiably-and perhaps gratefully-further descend the ladder when his big brother Prince George has kids.

Prince William told Downer that he thinks he has a strong name, but he did not exactly confirm anything.

Kensington Palace said the name would be announced in "due course" but the current favourite at the bookies is Arthur, followed by James, Philip and Albert.

The duke and duchess of Cambridge have spent their first day at home as a family of five.
