UPSC Results: Hyderabad boy Anudeep tops, Odisha's Subhankar holds 46th rank

Six Muslims have figured in top 100 recommended for different Civil Services posts in India. Anu Kumari has achieved this rank in her second attempt and she was just short by few marks in her first preliminary examination.

"Anudeep got the IRS in his second attempt". About her future plans, Kumari said that 'my first preference will be IAS as I want to stay in my country & serve the people here'. As per records, a total of 11 lakh candidates had appeared for UPSC 2017 exam.

As many as 990 candidates (750 men and 240 women) have been recommended by the UPSC for appointment to various services, which include Indian Administrative Service, Indian Police Service, Indian Foreign Service, and other Central Services. "Now, he is working as a Commissioner, GST, in Hyderabad", Manohar, Anudeep's father, told PTI. The top 25 candidates comprise of 17 men and 08 women.

Sachin Gupta, who bagged 3 rank in UPSC, explained how he consistently focused on paying attention only to the resources he wanted to study. A total of 165 candidates from Scheduled Caste and 74 from Scheduled Tribes have been recommended. "Result of two candidates has been withheld", it said.

180 candidates have been selected for IAS. Candidates who had appeared for the the examinations may visit the official website, for results. 13,366 candidates qualified for an appearance in the Written (Main) Examination held in October - November 2017.

The examination were held between February-April, 2018.
