US Embassy Makes Preparation For Jerusalem Move

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had hosted OIC emergency summit on December 13 at Ankara where most countries had strongly condemned Trump's move.

New road signs in Hebrew, Arabic and English were placed Monday at the road leading to the Jewish neighbourhood of Arnona on the East-West Jerusalem line, where the US Embassy will officially reopen next Monday. They were promised East Jerusalem as their capital by worldwide community during the United States sponsored peace talks through last several decades.

The Palestinian authorities have called on the diplomatic corps, global non-governmental organizations and religious authorities to boycott the opening of the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem.

At the consulate site, mechanical diggers cleared scrubland as workers posted embassy signs along city roads and hung U.S., Israeli and Jerusalem flags from street lights.

The new embassy is scheduled to open it's doors on Monday, May 14. Angry with Dancilas's proposal on Jerusalem, he publicly called on her to resign. Mayor Nir Barkat posed atop a ladder as the first sign went up as part of ongoing celebrations for Jerusalem Day, which falls on May 13 this year.
