Stars protest Gaza deaths at Cannes Film Festival

It really happened. The Twilight star Kristen Stewart made all the headlines with her rebellion against the controversial heels-only policy at the 71 Cannes Film Festival.

The actress, who in the recent years earned the moniker Queen of Cannes, isn't representing a film at the 2018 festival.

CANNES-The issue of high heels at Cannes has been a spiky one in recent years. Although Stewart, who was a member of the film festival's jury this year, didn't confirm whether she removed her heels in protest of the French festival's rule forbidding women from wearing flats, it was assumed that she did it on goal as she has spoken in the past against the arcane dress code. But, as it started to rain, Kristen headed toward the stairs removing her heels in order to get there a little quicker.

Del Toro attended the film festival as president of the jury for the Un Certain Regard (A Certain Glance) section, aimed at showcasing different points of view, visions, styles, and non-traditional narratives, selected from "cultures near and far". She wore a mesmerising feathered gown which featured a plunging neckline at the screening of Solo: A Star Wars Story. She had then said, "Things have to change immediately". You can not come in.' Then [I'm going to say], 'Neither is my friend. "Does he have to wear heels?'"

Well, this year Kristen put her money where her mouth is and literally kicked off her heels in front of the world's media. It's just like you simply can not ask me to do something that you are not asking him. That same year, Footwear News reported that Kristen Stewart removed another pair of Louboutin pumps and walked across a lawn during a Cannes photo call.
