Atletico Madrid star, Antoine Griezmann, will announce his future on TV later today (June 14).

The Frenchman has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital for well over 12 months, with a move to Manchester United highly anticipated last summer.

"I have chose to stay", he said at the end of the Spanish programme.

Griezmann can now fully focus on France's World Cup campaign which gets underway against Australia in Kazan on Saturday.

Griezmann scored 29 goals in 48 games for Atletico last season, as Diego Simeone's men battled to second place in La Liga and also lifted the Europa League.

"Many calls come to my sister [and representative Maud Griezmann], but now [April 20] I'm not sure".

While the 27-year-old forward and his sponsors may have been happy with the attention the video announcement created on social media platforms, Griezmann was criticised for taking part in a video that was ridiculed by many for being more than a little self-indulgent.

Griezmann made the announcement during a documentary aired on Thursday, with the film produced by Pique's investment company Kosmos. How much they won't pay me.

"They think I have everything signed and it's not like that, maybe if we win I'll go with a title or maybe stay and go for the Champions League".

'Atletico are doing everything they can to keep the team growing, it's awesome, they're making a lot of efforts, I cannot stand it, I need to tell people that I want to stay'.
