Critics Rip NYT for Killing Audio Interview With Stephen Miller

"Twitter remains a place where users are regularly subjected to harassment based on their sexuality, religion, race, or having a wrong opinion that day", wrote Splinter editor Katherine Krueger.

A political news website published the personal cellphone number of Trump senior adviser Stephen Miller as retaliation for his role in implementing the border policy that resulted in some immigrant children being separated from their parents when they attempted to illegally enter the U.S.

Is Stephen Miller's proclivity to stir up controversy and "trigger libs" behind the Trump administration's policy to separate families?

Last month, the Trump administration chose to begin criminally prosecuting almost all illegal border crossers, tightening up a policy that had in the past been more discretionary and lenient to illegal immigrants.

The Times said Tuesday that reporters Julie Hirschfeld Davis and Michael D. Shear interviewed Miller for a story that appeared in print and online last weekend.

On Wednesday, Trump signed an executive order that he said would keep families at the border together while strengthening security. "It was a simple decision by the administration to have a zero tolerance policy for illegal entry, period".

The article's author justified the move by referring to Trump's publicizing of Sen. "It is on the president to clean it up and fire the people responsible for making it".

Twitter users who retweeted the original tweet found their accounts were being suspended and some users complained their accounts were being locked not for posting the private information but rather for pointing to a site that held the information, the report said.
