Trump had expressed his displeasure with the interview on Twitter, insulting both Lemon and LeBron James.
OH governor John Kasich, a Republican like Trump, and former newscaster Dan Rather also criticized the President's tweet about James.
"What I've noticed over the past few months", James told Lemon, "is [Trump has] kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that's something that I can't relate to".
