'This hurts my heart': Celebrities mourn the death of rapper Mac Miller

Just minutes following reports that Miller, 26, died Friday from "an apparent overdose", Instagram comments and tweets flooded in blaming Grande for the tragedy.

According to TMZ, Miller was found by police at his home in California's San Fernando Valley, and pronounced dead at the scene. "At this time, an autopsy is pending and a cause of death has not been determined".

On Friday, fans, friends, and celebrities rushed to Twitter to express their condolences and sadness over Miller's passing.

A coroner's van was seen arriving at the scene shortly before 2.30pm. About 10 news vans remained.

Pittsburgh Slim, a rapper from Miller's home town, also visited and placed a bouquet of flowers at the door of the house. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. "I'm completely broken. God bless him".

Countless other musicians, from Kid Cudi to Shawn Mendes and J Cole, with Cole offering his help to anyone in the industry who may be secretly struggling, like Mac was.

It makes total sense that she is mourning as the two had been together for two years before they announced their split back in May.

Grande gave a lengthy response, calling her relationship with the rapper, and his sobriety, "toxic".

He was also arrested for driving under the influence (DUI) and a hit-and-run case, which led Grande to tweet out a message to "take care of yourself". It was later revealed that he blew two times the legal limit.

"I made a stupid mistake".

In late July, Miller sat down with Zane Lowe to for an interview on Beats 1 with Apple Music. "I needed that. I needed to run into that light pole and literally like have the whole thing stop". His more goofy songs included Nikes on My Feet, Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza and Knock Knock.

In 2011, Miller wrote a song about becoming fabulously wealthy and, seeking a metaphor, entitled the song Donald Trump. He then asked Grande if she'd be interested in a duet together.

In 2013, his sophomore effort, "Watching Movies with the Sound Off", entered the Billboard 200 at No.3.

The 26-year-old platinum-selling star's modest house in the San Fernando Valley, north of LA, has since raised suspicions, according to U.S. website TMZ.

"Although the two ended their relationship, Ariana always shared a deep connection with Mac and wanted nothing but the best for him", a source told ET.
