Razer Phone 2 Release Date Confirms: Official Invites Are Now Rolling

Over the last few weeks, we have been hearing a fair deal about the upcoming Razer Phone 2. The invite (shown above) doesn't explicitly mention the Razer Phone 2, but it does have words "Flagship // Gaming" which hint at the launch of Razer Phone 2.

If you are looking for buy the 2017 first generation of Razer Phone, check it out on Amazon at $549 and assume that the Razer Phone 2 ain't gonna be cheap either. It's common for such renders to have the date of launch set as the date shown on the lockscreen, though launching in October means, Razer is making a comeback, a month earlier than previous year.

Gaming in mobile phones is increasingly making its name in the industry and manufacturers want to make their name nourishing it. Razer is no exception along with Black Shark by Xiaomi.

We're yet to hear any news on a Razer Phone 2 release date, but seeing as its predecessor arrived in November a year ago we expect the new handset to land in the same month this time around. The Razer Phone 2 appears to have slightly thinner bezels above and below the screen - but they're by no means small. It will run on Android v9 Pie and have a 4,000mAh battery.

The Razer 2 is likely running on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and 8GB RAM. The handset is expected to be launched on October 10.

Razer has sent out invites to the media for an event on October 10 where it will be unveiling the Razer Phone 2.
