We know you're curious just how radically redesigned the handsome new smartwatch is on the inside, but leave it to iFixit's experts to offer you a complete look under the 44 mm hood of the larger 2018 variant. It will wait for a response if you are moving.

That said, so far many people have reported the Apple Watch 4 to be capable of identifying real falls from pretend ones. Redditor No1ARSoul, however, noted that you'll only find that out if you read the online manual for Fall Detection and how it's enabled by default for anyone whose age is 65 or older in their Apple accounts.

Note: You can't set emergency services as an emergency contact. And while it does sound like a life saver, it won't be unless you explicitly enable it, as it is turned off by default for anyone younger than 65.

It would be interesting to know whether reviewers realized fall detection was disabled before testing it with Series 4. If you are immobile for a minute, it will launch a 15-second countdown before automatically calling 911 and messaging your emergency contacts.

The Apple Watch Series 4 is about as popular as expected, needing around a month to ship from the manufacturer's U.S. e-store if you order it today, but if you've already received an early copy, it might not be a good idea to start tearing it down and verify its repairability. It doesn't count falling on softer surfaces as hard falls.

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, then tap the My Watch tab.

The Apple Watch Series 4 is a massive upgrade to the wearable device for both hardware and software, especially when it comes to health and fitness features.

In case you didn't know, the Watch Series 4 is powered by a dual-core 64-bit S4 processor with a refined accelerometer, gyroscope. Its speaker is also 50% louder than the Series 3.

The experts' coin that while the original Apple Watch used too much glue and was awkwardly layered together, the Series 4 seems to be more thoughtfully laid out.
