Tone-deaf WWE recalls Hulk Hogan for show in Saudi Arabia

Brock Lesnar is once again the reigning and defending Universal Champion after beating Braun Strowman for the title at WWE Crown Jewel.

Hulk Hogan's brief return to WWE programing at the Crown Jewel pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia likely didn't improve or further damage his image, but the legendary wrestler continued to be an example of the company avoiding controversy it created.

The event will take place inside the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

As the Raw tag team championship finds itself in a limbo, all eyes will be on the SmackDown Tag Team titles as two of the best tag teams in the WWE will do battle to win the championship now held by The Bar.

Hogan isn't the only WWE legend taking part in the Saudi Arabia PPV, as The Undertaker and Kane aka The Brothers of Destruction, are set for a tag-team match against DX's Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

The two current favourite finalists in the World Cup tournament are Rollins and The Miz. "I'm looking forward to going to Saudi Arabia with the WWE, looking forward to WrestleMania - but yeah, we're moving forward at a rapid pace".

SmackDown First Round: Randy Orton vs. Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy vs. The New Day might have gotten to ride to the ring on a sweet magic carpet - but it didn't help them carry home the gold from WWE Crown Jewel.

Last night we published a large list of names that were with the WWE cast and crew for Crown Jewel, despite not being advertised for the show. The kickoff show, for the United States Championship, will start at 8:30 PM.

However, The Champ was ultimately replaced by his WWE Super Show-Down partner Bobby Lashley.

The event will be live on Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 1HD (both English) and Ten 3, Ten 3HD (both Hindi).
