Teaser footage of the highly anticipated season of Game of Thrones aired at the 2019 Golden Globes and fans don't know what to make of it.

The preview package also introduced Meryl Streep to the cast of another hit, Big Little Lies, which is already filled with A-listers including Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman, Laura Dern, Shailene Woodley and Zoe Kravitz.

Watchmen has also been grabbing plenty of attention, with just a few small teases before now.

We did get a glimpse of this encounter earlier in August 2018 when a 1.40-minutes-long video rode on the coattails of the finale of Amy Adams' Sharp Objects. "Winterfell is yours, your grace", Sansa says to Daenerys.

It shows Daenerys Targaryen approaching Jon Snow and Sansa Stark in Winterfell, the Kingdom that the Starks have ruled for thousands of years. To me, it feels like she was encouraged, perhaps in a heavy-handed manner, by Jon Snow.

Back in November 2018, HBO confirmed Game of Thrones would return for its eighth and final season in April 2019. Similar to the show's first episode which saw King Robert Baratheon arriving at Winterfell. It also came as a welcome surprise to the show's loyal viewers, who will recall they had to wait until July past year when Season 7 premiered. Whether or not she's gotten Dany's Game of Thrones resume (mostly not good, if you really think about it), she's a great judge of character.

Needless to say, Season 8 is about to get messy. The clip was part of HBO's 2019 coming attractions ad that showed snippets from all its shows, from True Detective to Veep.
