Unai Emery has revealed that he is adapting his intense training sessions to deal with Arsenal's packed fixture list and the raft of injuries they have picked up recently.

Emery also praised the attitude of Aaron Ramsey as the Wales worldwide continues to be linked with a move away from the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League, just outside the Champions League qualification places, and play West Ham United away tomorrow lunchtime.

Arsenal spent around £70m on four players last summer - Lucas Torreria, Matteo Guendouzi, Sokratis and Bernd Leno with Stephan Lichtsteiner also arriving on a free transfer - and signed striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for a club record £56m in January 2018.

Arsenal have already been tipped to pursue the services of Denis Suarez from Barcelona but they are experiencing a similar predicament with the Spanish club wanting a straight-cash deal for the Spaniard. Every day he's here with us, he's working very well.

When asked whether he would give players a break or make changes to his training regime, Emery answered: 'We are doing that.

"I don't know his [Suarez's] situation".

"If we can find one player who can help us like we need, with the quality and a different player for getting in our squad, we are going to do it".

"I respect his decision a lot". His response has been very good in training and matches with good performances. I asked in the last match at Blackpool (in the FA Cup) if he is okay to help us play and he said, "Yeah, coach, I want to play" and he played with a very big commitment to us.

He said: "We can not sign permanently".

Defenders Hector Bellerin, Laurent Koscielny, Shkodran Mustafi, Nacho Monreal and Dinos Mavropanos have also returned to training this week and in contention to feature.
