Release Date: Jan. 17, 2014
Cast: Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill, Tika Sumpter

Synopsis: From the producer and Director of the hit comedy Think like a man comes the Action comedy Ride along. Ben(played by Kevin Hart) is a high school security guard who is accepted to the police academy and feels that he is ready to marry his girlfriend Angela( Tika Sumpter). He has to prove to her brother James, an APD detective played by Ice Cube that he is not just a clown with a love for video games in order to get his blessings. James agrees to take him for one of his shifts and is determined to make him hate the experience. What follows is an outrageous twenty four hours that see them going from a ride along shift that is meant to scare any trainee to facing the most notorious criminals.
Thumbs up: Kevin Hart delivers his acting skills with a prowess that is equal only to his wit.
Thumbs down: Listening to Ice Cube you may be forgiven for thinking you are watching a rerun of the reality TV show Ice loves Coco.. Half of the movie will leave you with a half smile half sneer but there are some pretty good moments too.
I give it a 3 out of 5 stars. You can enjoy it during one of those Lazy afternoons.
